Andrea Byner-Bendig

Andrea Byner-Bendig heads the IFRS Standards & Policies department at METRO AG in Düsseldorf.
The focus here is on the preparation, updating and monitoring of compliance with IFRS accounting guidelines within the METRO Group and the clarification of accounting issues. He is also involved in the preparation of the annual report in accordance with IFRS.
Due to the high number of leasing contracts in the METRO Group, another focus is on accounting for leases in accordance with IFRS 16. The process ownership for this topic lies in the IFRS Standards & Policies department. As part of her project management and due to her high level of expertise in the area of leasing, Andrea implemented the SAP RE-FX Lease Engine for the entire METRO Group in addition to the relevant accounting guidelines. The high level of expertise in the area of leasing also results from her previous work at Deutsche Immobilien Leasing.
